USA Hockey lineup set for Winter Olympic opener vs. Slovakia

Team USA opens the Olympic tournament on Thursday against Slovakia. Here is the starting lineup.

Team USA announced on Thursday morning that defenseman Justin Faulk and forward Derek Stepan will be the healthy scratches when they open their Olympic schedule against Slovakia.

Goaltender Jimmy Howard will also be out of the lineup as Ryan Miller back ups Jonathan Quick.

As for the players that are in the lineup, the lines and defensive pairings to start the game are as follows.
