Team Canada lineup: Carey Price will get start in Olympic playoff opener

After starting two of their first three games in the preliminary round, Carey Price will get the start in goal for Canada during its quarterfinal round game on Wednesday. Canada awaits the winner of the Switzerland-Latvia game that will take place on Tuesday.

Price posted a 2-0 record in the opening round and allowed just two goals in games against Norway and Finland.

Coach Mike Babcock would not announce any other roster decisions after the team's practice on Tuesday, but it appears based on the line combinations used in practice that forward Matt Duchene and defenseman P.K. Subban could be the odd men out, which would mean Martin St. Louis would get back into the lineup after sitting out a 2-1 overtime win against Finland on Sunday.

Canada's lines have been a constant shuffling act throughout the tournament, with no line seeing more turnover than the top line centered by Pittsburgh Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby. They've already tried three different line combinations in the first three games, and could be trying another one on Wednesday.

During practice on Tuesday Crosby was centering a line between Chris Kunitz, his regular linemate in Pittsburgh, and Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron.

The rest of the line combinations on Tuesday.

Given Canada’s embarrassment of riches at forward its offense hasn’t really had a breakout game (outside of a six-goal performance against Austria, perhaps the worst defensive team in the tournament) as they continue to search for the right combinations up front.

Six of their 11 goals so far have come from defensemen (Drew Doughty with four, Shea Weber with two) while only three forwards have scored (Jeff Carter with three, Jamie Benn and Ryan Getzlaf both have one).
