— Pittsburgh Penguins (@penguins) February 7, 2014 While it clarifies the situation around Letang, the news is still troubling, although the condition can be treated with blood thinners, per the Penguins. The stroke occurred in late January, and as the Penguins updated, Letang is expected to be back later this season, and his condition is not considered career-threatening.
Most importantly, it’s great to hear Letang is both out of the hospital, and getting treatment.
