After playing the first seven years of his career with the New Jersey Devils and helping lead the team as far as Game 6 of the 2012 Stanley Cup Final, Zach Parise moved on and signed a 13-year, $98 million contract with the Minnesota Wild. Many Devils fans did not take it well at the time.
Zach Parise scores in return to New Jersey
After getting booed for most of the night, Zach Parise scored against his former team.

On Thursday, Parise was making his first trip back to New Jersey since leaving after that 2012 season, and his former fans did not exactly roll out the red carpet for his return. He was booed most of the night, from his introduction in the starting lineup to every time he touched the puck. However, he managed to silence the crowd for a few minutes early in the third period when he deflected a Ryan Suter shot from the point for his 24th goal of the season.
