As Zac Rinaldo demonstrated on Wednesday, knocking an opposing player into the net doesn’t really count for anything.
Radek Dvorak ejected for running over Roberto Luongo
You have to put the puck in the net, not the goalie.

On Thursday, Carolina's Radek Dvorak took it one step further when he went bowling for goalies and steamrolled Roberto Luongo of the Florida Panthers on his way to the net.
Dvorak earned a five-minute major and a game misconduct for charging. He needs to be a better job avoiding contact with the goalie for sure, but given how fast he was going in, it’s hard to imagine it was intentional, especially since Dvorak isn’t really a violent player. In 1,252 career, he’s tallied just 434 penalty minutes and heading into play on Thursday had just 25 in 52 games this season.
Luongo was removed from the game for precautionary reasons and replaced by backup goalie Dan Ellis.
