Blake Wheeler runs interference from the bench

If you’re not cheating, you’re not trying.

If you don’t get caught everything you do is nice and legal.

That seems to be the mindset that Winnipeg Jets forward Blake Wheeler had on Monday night when he decided to do this midway through the second period.

That's Wheeler reaching out from the bench and grabbing the stick of Ducks defenseman Sami Vatanen and refusing to let go, allowing the Jets to break in on an odd-man rush for their fourth goal of the game.

Not sure if this is better or worse than the time Ryane Clowe played the puck from the bench, but if that incident was any indication it probably means that Wheeler will get away with the perfect crime. Clowe was not penalized and received no supplemental discipline for his interference from the bench.
