Buffalo has been working hard to unload some of its more attractive pieces to acquire future assets as the Sabres go through a rebuild. While the deal wasn't announced until after the 3 p.m. trade deadline, Buffalo has sent Matt Moulson and Cody McCormick to the Minnesota Wild for Tony Mitchell and undisclosed draft picks.

It took them every last second of the deadline, but the Minnesota Wild landed another skilled forward in acquiring Matt Moulson.

For Buffalo, it was a trade deadline filled with unloading assets. The Sabres traded away Ryan Miller, Steve Ott, and Moulson, while they were able to acquire at least two draft picks, and a highly touted prospect in Hudson Fasching.
