Devils vs. Hurricanes: Alex Semin dekes past two Devils for game-tying goal

He flubbed the celebration, though.

It's been a big day for Russian hockey players. Hours after Washington Capitals rookie Evgeny Kuznetsov officially arrived in North America, former Capital Alexander Semin silenced a New Jersey crowd with a slick goal on Saturday night.

Carolina dug a deep hole for themselves against the Devils, falling behind 4-1 in the second period. But a furious comeback in the third period was capped off by an outstanding tying goal by Semin.

It’s not every day you see a player deke two opponents out of their skates before scoring on a spin-o-rama from the high slot. But Alex Semin is no ordinary offensive player.

Alas, former Hurricane Tuomo Ruutu broke the tie minutes later and the Devils prevailed, 5-4.
