Jonathan Toews wins Game 5 for Chicago in overtime

The Chicago Blackhawks are one game closer to the second round thanks to this smooth Jonathan Toews goal in overtime.

You don't ever want to lose track of Jonathan Toews when he's on the ice. This is especially true in overtime of a pivotal Game 5 in the playoffs.

That's the mistake the St. Louis Blues made on Friday night after a line change, and now they're facing elimination because of it. Toews ended up burning them by beating Ryan Miller on this smooth breakaway move to give the Blackhawks their third straight win in the series and a 3-2 lead heading back to Chicago.

That is Toews’ second goal of the series.

For the Blues, this is all playing out just like their first-round series a year ago when they jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings only to lose the next four games.

On Sunday, they have a chance to push the series to a seventh game.
