Stanley Cup Playoffs: Rangers beat Penguins in Game 7; Blackhawks finish off Wild

The New York Rangers completed their comeback with another stellar Game 7 outing from Henrik Lundqvist, while Patrick Kane scored another overtime winner for the Chicago Blackhawks.

And it was Kane, as he’s been known to do from time-to-time in his career, scoring the game-winning goal in overtime to send the Blackhawks to the Western Conference Final and eliminate the Wild for the second straight season.

Sometimes the bounces just go your way, which is probably the best way to describe this sequence for Kane and the Blackhawks, via @CJFogler.

In the end, the schedule didn’t matter. Neither did the anemic power play that couldn’t score, or the complete zero they put on the ice in Games 3 and 4 of their second round series, or the fact that Rick Nash still hasn’t scored a goal.

None of it mattered because, at the end of the day, they still have King Henrik and nobody else in the NHL does.
