It's been a good year for rookies in the NHL Playoffs. Chris Kreider, Nathan MacKinnon and Erik Haula all benefited from breakout springs that helped propel their respective teams further in the playoffs.

But no rookie has enjoyed the playoffs more than Los Angeles Kings forward Tyler Toffoli. On a team known more for its defensive prowess, Toffoli has provided a nice spark offensively.

Toffoli was at it again in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, registering a go-ahead goal in the second period. The Chicago Blackhawks had no chance of stopping him once he broke away.

That goal gave him 10 points in the playoffs, launching Toffoli into a tie for the rookie scoring lead with MacKinnon and Bruins defenseman Torey Krug. Don't be surprised to see this kid leading the Kings in scoring for the next few years.
