— Josh Rimer (@JoshRimerHockey) July 1, 2014 After spending his entire career in Calgary and a brief 13-game stint in Pittsburgh, Iginla landed in Boston last season, keeping up his regular scoring output and tallying 30 goals. Iginla was reportedly seeking a two-year deal, and with the Bruins already sniffing the cap ceiling, other suitors were expected to enter the fold in pursuit of the forward with 560 career goals.
Colorado has already been busy this offseason, after acquiring Daniel Briere Monday in exchange for P.A. Parenteau and a fifth-round draft pick. The biggest item on the docket for the Avalanche is re-signing unrestricted free agent Paul Stastny, who's set to test the market at noon.
