Torey Krug randomly shoves Canadiens player’s face into the ice

That seemed mean.

The Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins have a decent history of on-ice shenanigans whenever they square off against one another, so you knew their first matchup of the season on Saturday would result in some questionable activities. It was just a matter of when, not if.

You didn't have to wait long. The Canadiens pressed hard early in the first period, eventually crashing the Bruins net and causing a stoppage of play. Habs center Torrey Mitchell ended up prone beside the net, but before he could get up a tiny Bruins player appeared out of thin air and did something mean.

For no reason whatsoever! As all harmless rivalry acts of malice should be.
