McDavid utilizes his speed to get open in the slot to start the play. The rookie forward then proceeds to cut to the far post, going backhand to forehand in front of Dubnyk. But the goaltender doesn’t bite, and instead stretches out the right pad to cut off the post on the stuff attempt.
