Mike Condon saves sure Penguins goal with the swipe of his pads
Close, but not close enough.

Patric Hornqvist's point blank shot got the flurry started on goaltender Mike Condon. The netminder did the splits in goal as he had fallen forward in the scramble for the rebound. On the broadcast, the puck looked to be lost before squirting out to the right of the goal and was then recovered by a Habs defender. Only on the replay going to commercial break did we see how close the Penguins had come to a goal.
that was a lot closer than I thought pic.twitter.com/JlBSbEvkAF

For the skeptics, here’s the above view of the play, which definitely shows the puck did not go over the line.
don't see any white between the puck and goal line. definitely not a goal. pic.twitter.com/ob1AfwfGP8
