Nikita Kucherov dances through the heart of Toronto’s defense for easy goal

With all eyes on Steven Stamkos in Toronto, the Maple Leafs accidentally left his linemate Nikita Kucherov wide open for the Lightning's opening score of the game.

Kucherov seemingly had an entire zone to work with on the goal, as Toronto's defense merely coasted while the Tampa Bay forward did his thing. His stick work fooled goaltender Jonathan Bernier, who recently returned from a conditioning stint in the AHL, top shelf on the forehand.
