Four teams are set to square off on a light Tuesday of World Junior hockey action. The biggest surprise from Monday's four games might be the United States' 1-0 shutout loss to Sweden, who really looks like the team to beat in this tournament as they take the top spot in Group A with two wins for six points. Linus Soderstrom saved 46 shots en route to the one-goal shutout of a very talented American team.

Two teams near the top of their groups will face a pair of winless teams.

The Czech Republic had the other shutout early Monday morning, blanking Slovakia 2-0 thanks to Bruins prospect David Pastrnak's game winning goal in the second period while Vitek Vanecek stopped 18 shots. Russia and Finland put up a combined 10 goals in Russia's 6-4 win with a five goal middle frame while the Canadians bounced back after their loss to Team USA over the weekend as they put the beatdown on Denmark 6-1 on Mitch Marner's two-point day.
