The goal might not matter in the end of this game, but it’s just one situation that could be overturned if the NHL does indeed go through with coach’s challenges next season.

On Wednesday, the two were advancing towards center ice at the same time when Gryba threw up his elbow at the last second and very nearly connected with Eller’s head.

If that visual seems familiar, it should. The same thing happened in the playoffs in 2013. Only that time, Gryba’s elbow did connect and Eller suffered a pretty severe concussion.
