Less than 20 percent of the regular season remains, and the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings are still outside the playoff picture looking in.
NHL schedule 2015: Kings look to continue playoff push
Los Angeles needs to hit its stride to make it back to the postseason.


LA, who trails eighth-place Calgary by two points in the standings, needs to beat Vancouver Thursday night to keep pace with the Flames. The Kings lead the seasons series, 2-0.
The Canucks have their work cut out for them as well, although they do have more security. According to SportsClubStats.com, Vancouver has a 94.4 percent chance of qualifying for the postseason. The Kings, conversely, have a 67.8 percent chance as of Wednesday night.
