The Eastern Conference playoff race is incredibly tight, and if Tampa Bay can beat Montreal this evening, the top of standings will be even closer.
NHL schedule 2015: Canadiens visit Lightning, Coyotes take on Kings
Monday’s NHL action includes a battle of two Eastern Conference powerhouses.

The Lightning, who have dropped two straight, can tie the Habs in points (93) with a regulation victory, although Montreal does have a game in hand. The Bolts have won all three games so far in this season series, including a 1-0 overtime triumph last Tuesday at the Bell Centre.
Out west, the Los Angeles Kings will try to rebound from Saturday's loss to Nashville when the Arizona Coyotes visit Los Angeles. Though Arizona is long out of contention, LA has won four of its last six and is one point behind Winnipeg for the final wild card spot in the Western Conference. The Kings also have a game in hand over the Jets, so a victory tonight could go a long way for Darryl Sutter's club as the end of the regular season nears.
