The Boston Bruins entered Sunday's contest against the Detroit Red Wings three short-handed goals behind the NHL lead. In less than two periods, they moved within a single mark of first.
Daniel Paille scores Boston’s second short-handed goal of the day
The Red Wings’ power play is not faring well this afternoon.

Brad Marchand opened up the scoring with a four-on-five tally in the opening frame, and with 8:16 left in the second, Daniel Paille converted on the penalty kill, as well.
Several minutes later, Paille lit the lamp again to give the Bruins a 4-1 lead. He now has four goals in his last seven games. This is his first two-goal performance since Dec. 14, 2011.
