Matched up against Vezina and Hart Trophy candidate Carey Price, the Ottawa Senators know they have to get out in front early to enjoy much success in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Thankfully for them, Montreal Canadiens defenseman Andrei Markov made this task rather easy in Game 1 of the Atlantic Division semifinal.

Just 7:35 into the first period, Markov inadvertently whacked the puck into his own net -- gifting Ottawa a 1-0 lead, one that would hold through the opening frame.
