Capitals vs. Islanders 2015 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

New York tries to shake off Game 2 disappointment.

The New York Islanders will put their short memories to the test on Sunday when they host the Washington Capitals in Game 3 of their first round playoff series.

New York let a valuable opportunity slip away on Friday, blowing two-goal leads twice as the Capitals rallied and tied the series at 1-1. The loss was even more disappointing considering they had the Capitals at a disadvantage; starting goalie Braden Holtby missed the game with an illness.

That fortune won't appear twice, as Holtby is expected to start in Game 3. His performance in Game 1 was not particularly strong, but he's been a workhorse all season long and will significantly bolster Washington's defensive zone game. For their part, New York will start Jaroslav Halak again in net. Halak was a key reason the Islanders blew Game 2, letting in a few goals that had no business going in.

The crowd at Nassau Coliseum is expected to be electric, as the arena is hosting its final Islanders playoff series before the Isles move to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn next season.
