Blackhawks vs. Ducks Game 7: Time, TV schedule and how to watch 2015 NHL playoffs online

Anaheim is at a disadvantage despite hosting Game 7.

The Anaheim Ducks enter Saturday night facing a situation that has been particularly unkind to them over the past few years, while the Chicago Blackhawks carry a heap of momentum with them.

The Ducks host the Blackhawks on Saturday in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals after Chicago extended the series with a big 5-2 win in Game 6. Anaheim has lost in Game 7 in each of the past two seasons, to the Los Angeles Kings and Detroit Red Wings.

Chicago has proven to be a tough foe to eliminate. Although the Ducks have seemed like far and away the better team in their series victories, they’ve looked far less intimidating in their losses. Their inability to close out wins has become a trend, with the Blackhawks pushing them to overtime after overcoming late deficits multiple times.

There’s little doubt the Blackhawks hold a distinct advantage in Game 7 based on experience alone. The Ducks’ players are a combined 7-29 in Game 7s, while the Blackhawks players have a combined 29 wins between them.

The winner of Game 7 will advance to play the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final. Tampa Bay clinched its berth with a Game 7 win over the New York Rangers on Friday.
