There was no way we'd come out of this weekend without John Scott scoring in the All-Star Game. After all the hand-wringing over the fan votes, the outright anger after Scott was traded and dumped in the minors, the jubilation over the NHL reaffirming his captaincy of the Pacific Division, and then the disappointment in the NHL after Scott told his side of the story, it was only a matter of time.
John Scott caps off dream All-Star experience with two goals
Just as it was intended.
The captain of the Pacific Division more than delivered on a big time goal that helped tie the game against the Central early in the first 10 minute half. And rightfully, Nashville gave Scott the standing ovation he certainly deserved.
The look of absolute joy on Scott’s face says all you need to know about what this goal means.
Scott was not done there either. One goal was nice, two goals are even better.
