If you know anything about the World Junior Championship, you know that the ending can be pretty incredible. It probably has something to do with the fact the players are all teenagers and unable to handle big pressure situations.

Or something like that. With that in mind, the gold medal game of the 2016 event was as thrilling as ever, with multiple lead changes between Finland and Russia. Finland took the lead with a minute and change remaining, and it looked like they had the championship sealed.

And then the inevitable happened.

Finland was just 6.9 seconds away from a nice gold medal, but a goal from Kasperi Kapanen in overtime gave them the win anyways.
