The Buffalo Sabres’ best player finally returned to their lineup in Ottawa after tweaking his knee early in the season. He jumped on the board quick with two early points, so the spotlight was surely his for good.
And then off went teammate Ryan O’Reilly’s helmet ...
... off to the front of the net he went ...
... and there you go. Spotlight officially re-centered. It’s so rare to see players play without helmets for very long these days, and even rarer to see them actually score a goal.
Much less a goal as pretty as this one.
And it’s good to see that O’Reilly’s priorities are in order: goal or no goal, make sure that hair looks nice.
