It seems like Nazem Kadri’s strong start to the season might hit a roadblock of his own making.
Nazem Kadri ejected for hit to the head on Daniel Sedin
Kadri would be a repeat offender if suspended.

With the Toronto Maple Leafs in the midst of a rout over the Vancouver Canucks, Kadri got a little carried away with back-checking as the Sedin twins carried the puck in on a breakaway in the third period.
After trying to disrupt Henrik Sedin, Kadri shifted gears and delivered a hit to the head of Daniel Sedin.
You can clearly see Sedin’s head striking the ice as he fell, without his helmet.
Kadri was given a five-minute major for a hit to the head and a 10 minute game misconduct. In other words, he was tossed from the game. It’s likely the NHL Department of Player Safety is already looking at the play, and Kadri’s status as a repeat offender won’t help his cause.
The Maple Leafs center was suspended in 2013 for a hit on Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom. He ran afoul of the NHL last season for a hit on Edmonton Oilers winger Matt Fraser and for cross-checking Red Wings forward Luke Glendening.
