This Ranger rookie’s second career goal is a dazzling display of talent

What a set of moves from the New York rookie.

New York Rangers rookie Pavel Buchnevich scored his first career NHL goal on Saturday. By all accounts, it was a solid goal! His second just a day later might be one of the prettiest he’ll ever score.

Oh. Oh my. By my count, that’s one toe-drag around a defender before quite a set of moves on Jets goaltender Michael Hutchinson that resulted in that top shelf tally. Buchnevich’s incredible stick work not only got him around the Jets player, but he out-waited Hutchinson with that flurry of forehand-backhands, as the goaltender could only move so far before relinquishing the top side.

That’s quite an unfair move, Buchnevich. Especially since that was just the first shot Hutchinson faced in relief.
