Patrik Laine might be too good at scoring for his own ... good. I’ll fix this lede later.
Patrik Laine needed a hug after scoring a game-deciding own-goal
The Jets rookie can’t stop scoring!

In the meantime, allow me to explain. Laine was drafted second overall by the Winnipeg Jets last summer. He’s set the NHL on fire since, with 17 goals in 32 games. Only Sidney Crosby (20) and David Pastrnak (18) have more. Scoring seems to be Laine’s thing.
But maybe he’s getting carried away with it. On Sunday, the Jets were tied late with the Edmonton Oilers.
I mean ... it was a pretty great shot! But of course, he needed a hug. Poor guy.
At least now Ivan Vishnevskiy isn’t alone in the “rookie scores game-losing own goal” department.
