The Canadiens and Bruins played in overtime and everyone got knocked over

This is not a metaphor.

Hey, remember when Team North America and Team Sweden played in one of the best overtimes in recent memory?

No? Oh. You didn’t watch? Well click that link and do that and then come back for the seconds that Montreal and Boston offered up on Monday.

The game preceding it was already full of big (and questionable hits) and thrilling moments. So it’s no surprise that the first 30 seconds of overtime were certifiably nuts.

First, a referee fell down. Then Tuukka Rask got run over by a Habs player.

OK, steamrolled is a better word. Usually that’d draw a crowd, but the crowd was already speeding up ice to score the game-winner ...

... if the other goalie hadn’t been steamrolled, too!

Boston ended up winning on a goal that needed to be reviewed for possible offsides, because how else could this game have ended?
