The 2017 World Junior Championships are around the corner, and Hockey Canada kicked off the WJC season by unveiling their team’s roster and captains for the upcoming tournament in Toronto, Canada.

On Monday, Team Canada announced that Arizona Coyotes prospect Dylan Strome will be the captain of the squad. Strome is also the captain of the OHL’s Erie Otters and is one of a few returning members from Canada’s World Juniors team a year ago.

Canada’s alternate captains will be New York Islanders prospect Mathew Barzal and Ottawa Senators prospect Thomas Chabot. Both helped Canada take the bronze medal in 2015 at the IIHF U18 World Championship, and Barzal led Canada to gold at the Ivan Hlinka Memorial Cup in 2014.

The rest of Canada’s roster follows, along with their current junior teams and their NHL teams.
