There’s nothing quite as cool as scoring a goal in the NHL.
Oilers player gets emotional watching son cheer for his goal
St. Louis pride.

Except maybe scoring a goal in your hometown. Or scoring in front of your son.
How about all three?
Edmonton Oilers winger Pat Maroon did just that on Monday. The Oilers were visiting the St. Louis Blues, where Maroon grew up. His son, Anthony, was in attendance. And when dad scored the game-tying goal in the third period, he could barely contain his joy.
That’s a good hockey son and a good hockey dad. However, this is also a good hockey opposing fan:
We’ll call it even.
UPDATE: Nevermind. Pat Maroon got to see video of his son cheering for him after the game and got choked up. This is no longer even and our eyes are no longer dry, either.
