Denmark continues to shock the 2017 World Junior Championships.

On Tuesday, the Danes upset defending champion Finland in a tight 3-2 win. On Thursday, they faced down another test, stunning the Czech Republic with a 3-2 win in overtime.

And good gracious, did they win it with authority.

Mathias From, a 2016 draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks, created a scoring chance in overtime out of nothing and scored what might go down as the goal of the tournament.

What a goal. It was From’s first of the tournament, and it means Denmark keeps pace with Sweden at the top of Group A with six points.

Keep in mind that Denmark has never medaled in the World Juniors. The highest they’ve ever finished was eighth, which is where they landed the last two seasons. But they’re clearly becoming a country to be reckoned with as far as youth goes.
