Shayne Gostisbehere and Claude Giroux just combined to keep the Flyers’ playoff hopes alive
Big names are coming up huge in Philadelphia.

And thanks to some familiar names, the Flyers did just that.
That right there is rookie sensation Shayne Gostisbehere diving across to tip the puck away from the Jets in their own zone before throwing a backhanded feed to captain Claude Giroux. With 13 seconds left in overtime in a 2-2 game, Giroux got one through the Jets' netminder to secure both points and keep the Flyers ahead of the Red Wings in the playoff race.
The Flyers are playing with just the right amount of edge and desperation, and it helped them pull out a much needed pair of points Monday.
