The 82 games of the 2015-16 NHL regular season have officially come and gone. Since we last took stock of the league’s standings, more than a few teams have fallen out of favor with the postseason gods.

Some we've known about for awhile now. There will be no Canadian team represented in this year's playoffs. The Capitals ran away with the Presidents' Trophy race, but the Penguins gave them a great chase. The Stars locked up the Central while the usual suspects of the Blues and Blackhawks followed behind.
There were some surprises, however. The Bruins dropped out on the second to last day of the regular season with a brutal 6-1 loss to the Senators. In their place came the Flyers, who squeaked in with the Red Wings as the final two teams to make the postseason. The Avalanche could not keep pace with the Wild and fell behind Minnesota and out of the playoffs.
