Sharks vs. Kings, 2016 NHL playoffs: Time, TV schedule and live stream for Game 1
Familiarity breeds contempt in this first-round Battle of California.

Scouting the Sharks
Martin Jones will be facing his old team in his first postseason start. The 26-year-old netminder has been the backbone of the Sharks this year, along with veteran Joe Thornton, who has put up his best numbers since 2009-10. San Jose will be getting back Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Matt Nieto as well, which will be a big boost to their respective lines. The Sharks came away with the regular season series win 3-2 after putting on a 5-2 show at the end of March.
Scouting the Kings
A year removed from missing the playoffs, the Kings are looking to take back their Stanley Cup crown. The usual suspects are all there for Los Angles: Jonathan Quick, Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty, Milan Lucic and more. Alec Martinez will also play for the club after missing the last four games of the season. The Kings are matching up against their old goaltender Jones so familiarity might be a factor in this series as well.
Quick gets the start for Los Angeles, as per usual.
