Kings vs. Sharks, NHL playoffs 2016: Time, TV schedule and how to watch live online

John Hefti-USA TODAY Sports

Up 2-0 in their first round series, the San Jose Sharks will look to put a chokehold on the Los Angeles Kings at home in Game 3 on Monday. Puck drop is at 10:30 ET on NBCSN and the CBC.

Scouting the Kings

If you're expecting the Kings to panic at the idea of going down 3-0 to the Sharks, think again. Any Kings fan (and Sharks fan, but most likely with a heavy sigh) will quickly remind you the Sharks were the fourth NHL team in history to blow a 3-0 series lead against the Kings in 2012-13. There are things to like for the Kings going forward. Marian Gaborik returned from injury and looked terrific. Los Angeles looked most potent offensively when they crowded Martin Jones' net. They need to chase that to win in Game 3.

Scouting the Sharks

With Joe Pavelski and Logan Couture dominating offensively, the Sharks have relied on Joe Thornton to clean up things in transition the other way. He's done so admirably, proving the Sharks have depth at both ends of the ice to compete with the Kings. Martin Jones will get the start again for the Sharks after two solid efforts in the first two games.
