The Ducks and Predators will need seven games to decide this series. Thanks to a 3-1 Predators victory in Nashville, the Ducks' three-game win streak stalled as Anaheim was unable to close out their western foes. They'll get another chance to do so in the first-round's last game on Wednesday.

Pekka Rinne saved 26 shots in a bounce-back game for the Nashville netminder.

After a scoreless first period that went the way of Nashville in shots 8-7, the Predators struck first eight minutes into the second period. Mattias Ekholm circled behind the net then got a shot through a mass of traffic in front of Anaheim netminder Frederik Andersen, who wasn't able to see the puck zip past his stick side for the 1-0 score.

James Neal then doubled Nashville's lead with 2:15 to go in the second. Neal took the pass on a 2-on-1 with Ryan Johansen and fired it home with Andersen fully out of position and unable to get his stick back on the shot.

The Ducks were able to get the goal right back at the end of the second period. A late power play for Anaheim saw Cam Fowler's shot get redirected by Corey Perry in front of the net. Rinne believed he had covered the puck, but Ryan Kesler dove toward the loose offering and pushed it in the net for the 2-1 score with 14 seconds to go in the period.

Rinne came up big in the final moments of the game, ultimately saving all nine shots faced in the third to force the series to a Game 7. Shea Weber iced the game with the empty netter to make the final 3-1.
