Erik Karlsson, Sedin twins anchor a veteran Sweden roster at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey

Sweden has size and skill to spare.

If their official roster announcement on Friday is any indication, Team Sweden will be one of the best defensive teams in the 2016 World Cup.

Sweden will bring plenty of experience, grit and skill on their blue line when the World Cup gets underway. The roster includes Victor Hedman, Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Norris Trophy finalist Erik Karlsson. Detroit Red Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall will make his 11th appearance for Sweden.

The veteran talent extends to the forwards. Henrik and Daniel Sedin return, along with Red Wings and Avalanche captains Henrik Zetterberg and Gabriel Landeskog. Filip Forsberg and Carl Hagelin make the cut after terrific Stanley Cup Playoffs runs.

And, as always, the team is anchored in net by Henrik Lundqvist.
