Patrick Marleau delivers high hit to Penguins’ Bryan Rust

Was this Marleau penalty a head shot or a shoulder hit?

Will we see a suspension in the Stanley Cup Final? Though it's not likely based on the track record the Department of Player Safety has put down so far in these playoffs, this hit is still pretty bad from Patrick Marleau of the Sharks.

Marleau lined up Bryan Rust and caught the Penguins winger in the jaw on a play that got the Sharks forward a two-minute penalty for an illegal check to the head. The hit was high, but it's hard to tell if the head was the principle point of contact on the play or if Marleau gets more of the shoulder than the jaw of Rust.

Rust went back to the bench and eventually to the locker room for good.
