Braden Holtby is arguably the NHL's best goaltender this season. He carried the Capitals to 56 wins with a .922 save percentage in the regular season and is the frontrunner to be the Vezina Trophy winner come June.
Braden Holtby just got fooled by an absolute changeup of a goal
A combination of anticipation and bad luck made this Penguins goal happen.

However, bad goals happen to the best netminders. This time, it wasn’t so much a bad goal that Holtby let in, but more of one he really had no chance on thanks to some really bad luck.
That right there is a failed block from Karl Alzner, which slowed the velocity and changed the direction of Trevor Daley's original shot. Holtby clearly was anticipating Daley's shot that was posted for the top corner, but was well out of position to stop the trickling, half-speed puck that came at him instead.
