Pittsburgh has now won its fourth ever Stanley Cup and its first since 2009. It was a long road here, from a five-game series against the New York Rangers in the conference quarterfinals, a six-game series against the Washington Capitals in the conference semifinals and a grueling seven-game series against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the conference finals.
They took a 2-0 series lead over the Sharks in the Stanley Cup finals, but dropped Game 3 in overtime. After taking their third in Game 4, the Penguins went on to win it all with a win in Game 6 in San Jose.
