The Sharks scored because someone disconnected the Penguins’ controller

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

For the first ten minutes of Game 3, the Pittsburgh Penguins considerably dominated the San Jose Sharks. After an early Penguins goal, San Jose could barely get out of its own end. A second Pittsburgh goal seemed inevitable.

Then the game changed because Penguins goalie Matt Murray forgot to replace his controller batteries.

Rookie mistake.
