Scouting the Sharks
San Jose has been unable to get their game going, much less stop the Penguins from exerting their will all over this series. Their power play has been ineffective when given a rare chance, their biggest stars in Joe Thornton, Brent Burns, and Joe Pavelski are all goal-less and they're missing Tomas Hertl once again from the lineup. In a hostile Pittsburgh arena, the Sharks will have to find an extra gear they haven't yet shown if they want to keep their Stanley Cup hopes alive.
Scouting the Penguins
All of the pieces may be falling into place for the Penguins, but the series clincher is always the hardest to win. Pittsburgh has the chance to win their first Stanley Cup on home ice, and considering the way they've played so far, it's a very real possibility. The Penguins have had their big names and young stars both contributing all series, and much of the same mix will be needed to win the final game. Matt Murray will likely face an onslaught of Sharks chances as San Jose reaches desperation mode, but the rookie netminder has been up to the task so far.
