Jake Allen had a rough first period in net for the St. Louis Blues. St. Louis was outshot 11-2 after 20 minutes of play, and three of the Boston Bruins’ shots went in against the Blues’ netminder, who was replaced by backup Carter Hutton in the second period
Bruins benefit from strange deflection on Blues’ goaltender own-goal
Boston won’t get much luckier than this, honestly.

This second one can hardly be considered his fault, however, as the Bruins scored one of the flukiest goals you’ll see.
Brandon Carlo is the one who takes the original shot, which caroms off the boards behind the net. The puck then goes off of Allen’s left skate and into the net as he looks for the shot, completely unaware of his own mistake.
Sometimes you’ve got the puck luck, sometimes you don’t.
