Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals, will host the ninth iteration of the annual outdoor game. The hosts, naturally, will be the St. Louis Blues. And the visitors will be their rivals, the Chicago Blackhawks.
It’s the fifth outdoor game (including the Stadium Series in Minnesota) for Chicago since the league began the event nine years ago. St. Louis has never participated in one. It’s sure to be a good one; both teams are highly familiar with each other after years of divisional games, playoff meetings, and one entertaining first-round series last spring.
Rain threatened to move the game to Tuesday, but the NHL announced early on Monday that the game will start on time.
