It’s NHL All-Star Game Weekend! It’s also Saturday, which means we get treated to some good, old-fashioned Skills Competition fun this evening.
NHL Skills Competition 2017 live stream: Time, TV schedule, events, and how to watch online
The strangest two hours in hockey.

As usual, there are six challenges for the four division teams (Atlantic, Pacific, Central and Metropolitan) to participate in, in this order:
- Gatorade NHL Skills Challenge Relay™
- Honda NHL Four Line Challenge™
- DraftKings NHL Accuracy Shooting™
- Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater™
- Oscar Mayer NHL Hardest Shot™
- Discover NHL Shootout™
If you’re tuning into the Skills Competition to watch the Breakaway Challenge on Saturday, I have some bad news. It’s not alive anymore.
As it turns out, the players have a good reason for killing it:
But it will be missed. Instead, we get the Four Line Challenge, which is kind of complicated but sounds quite fun!
All 44 of the NHL’s All-Stars will compete in the skills challenge in one way or another. And yes, it is a competition: the division that wins each event will get a certain amount of points, and the team with the most points by the end gets to choose which team they play first in the 3-on-3 All-Star tournament on Sunday.
The All-Star Skills Competition will begin at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT. You can watch the event on NBCSN in the U.S. and on CBC, Sportsnet, and TVA Sports in Canada. Live streams will be hosted at NBCSN.com and CBC.com.
