Before the NHL completely turns its attention back to the final half of the regular season, it’s worth taking a moment to remember what we loved about the NHL All-Star Game weekend in Los Angeles, Calif.
Chris Pronger’s war with Justin Bieber was the best moment of the 2017 NHL All-Star weekend
But it wasn’t the only moment worth cherishing.

Because there were a lot of fun times. And a lot of it was centered around the NHL’s unveiling of the 100 best players in league history to commemorate the 100th year of the league. Which led to the nicest moment of the weekend, when the 100 players dropped the pucks for the 44 All-Stars to begin the All-Star Game.
That was, perhaps, the coolest moment of the weekend. But there were more hilarious moments that we’ll remember most.
Chris Pronger destroying Justin Bieber
I mean, c’mon. This will go down as one of the greatest photos of the year in hockey, if not history. It completely overshadowed the fact that Bieber played pretty well in the celebrity game, but we’re not complaining. This picture is phenomenal.
Wayne Gretzky having the time of his life
Gretzky was a last-second fill-in for John Tortorella behind the Metropolitan Division bench. That set up a fantastic storyline: the Great One got to coach both Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin, the two best players of the current generation.
And he had so much fun. First, let’s start with the fact he CALLED A COACH’S CHALLENGE DURING THE ALL-STAR GAME ...
... and he won!
Meanwhile, he spent the rest of the afternoon just enjoying the heck out of the fantastic players doing awesome, fun things.
We should all aspire to have as much fun as Wayne Gretzky did on Sunday.
Oh, I don’t know, anything P.K. Subban did
Subban was mic’d up for the Skills Competition and stole the show. My favorite part is a tie between him pranking Patrick Kane ...
... or this moment of genius.
That exchange is even better with the video.
