Evgeny Kuznetsov is having a very strange down year. The normally potent Capitals’ forward has scored just four goals coming into Monday night and is on pace for 53 points after coasting close to 80 last season.
Evgeny Kuznetsov put the puck on a string to give the Capitals their one-goal lead back
A highlight reel game-winning goal.

His go-ahead goal versus the Canadiens, however, is vintage Kuznetsov at his finest.
Talk about puck control in every sense, as Kuznetsov went inside-outside around Jeff Petry before going blocker-side on Carey Price.
The goal restored the Capitals’ lead just 54 seconds after Montreal had tied the game in the third period. Not a bad time for Kuznetsov to look like his former self.
